Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

During the final preparatory meeting for the Cameroon vs Namibia match, which took place yesterday in the presence of the Governor of the Northern Region and all stakeholders of the event, a significant incident occurred.

The Governor, who is the sole representative of the President in the Grand North, emphasized that the North would not be complicit in Cameroon's failure to qualify for the CAN. He stated that only those whose names appear on the match sheet would be allowed on the bench with Marc Brys.

When it was Marc Brys' turn to speak, he insulted the Governor, stating that he would not work with the deputies appointed by FECAFOOT and that he would never work with Cameroonians, whom he called dishonest.

The entire room was stunned. The government decided to close the meeting, and Brys left the room. The comments were recorded by intelligence services present in the room. This disrespectful behavior has reportedly been escalated to the highest levels of the state.

Early this morning, the hotel where the U20 team was staying was barricaded by police, preventing the players from leaving. However, the Governor was informed, and he immediately ordered the police to withdraw, which they did.

Some sources indicate that the person who ordered the police presence has been summoned to explain their actions. Meanwhile, Marc Brys is reportedly facing a procedure that could lead to his extradition from Cameroon.
