Sama Ernest
Paul Atanga Nji Minister of Special Duties at the presidency of the republic who also moonlights as Permanent Secretary in the National Security Council has today refused for the second time to respond to a convocation issued him by the special criminal tribunal Cameroon Concord has learnt. Minister Atanga Nji is wanted by the court over alleged embezzlement of funds at the Cameroon Postal Services for the period 2004-2010.
Cameroon Concord has been reliably informed that the Biya acolyte is reported to have misappropriated 713 million cfa. The Atanga Nji affair also involves the owner of the media group Anecdote, Amougou Belinga who some reports suggest has participated in both hearings. Minister Atanga Nji was quoted earlier today as saying that he cannot attend the court session while he is still a member of government. At the time of going to press, our informant at the presidency of the republic hinted that Atanga Nji has written a letter to the Head of State, President Biya appealing to him to intervene in the matter.
