Passengers Injured in Bus Accident on Matazem-Bamenda Road

Preliminary Reports Indicate Driver Fatigue: Early reports suggest the driver, fatigued behind the wheel, handed control of the bus to their assistant. The accident occurred around 4:00 am to 5:00 am as the assistant attempted to overtake another bus. Tragically, the vehicle veered off the road and plunged into a valley.

Injuries Confirmed, No Fatalities: While thankfully there are no reported fatalities, multiple passengers sustained injuries. The extent of their injuries remains unknown at this time.

Location: The accident occurred approximately 200 meters past the Matazem control post, as the bus was entering the Santa area. Local authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the accident thoroughly. Driver fatigue is a suspected contributing factor.
