Breaking

In a tragic turn of events, the serene neighborhood of Nkoabang was rocked by a heinous crime that claimed the life of Rosine Megou Tessa, aged 32, on the night of October 15-16, 2023.

Found with her throat slit and her body riddled with stab wounds, the ghastly scene shocked the community and sparked a rigorous investigation by the Central Regional Division of Judicial Police.

Chastel Ndjock Nkoma, aged 34, has confessed to the crime, admitting to taking the life of his victim after an unsuccessful attempt to engage in intimate relations. Ndjock Nkoma, a motorcycle taxi driver, was known to be relatively well-off and had developed a relationship with Megou Tessa over time. He showered her with promises of a bright future, but their encounter took a dark turn when she refused his advances.

Frustrated by her rejection, Ndjock Nkoma resorted to violence, forcefully escorting Megou Tessa to a secluded area where he violated her and ultimately silenced her by severing her upper airways. In a calculated attempt to deceive authorities, he presented himself as a Good Samaritan who had come to the aid of a woman assaulted by bandits. However, diligent detectives from the Central DRPJ saw through his facade, unraveling the truth behind the brutal murder.

Commissioner Charles Ndongo, chief of the Criminal Investigations and Research Department, recounted the harrowing details of the crime, highlighting Ndjock Nkoma's deceitful actions and the meticulous investigative efforts that led to his apprehension. The suspect, a repeat offender with a history of criminal activity, now faces charges for the alleged murder of a vibrant young woman.

As the community grapples with the aftermath of this senseless tragedy, there is a collective call for justice to be served and for measures to be implemented to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. The untimely loss of Rosine Megou Tessa serves as a stark reminder of the fragility of life and the importance of safeguarding the well-being of individuals within our society.
