President Biya Summons Members Of The Higher Judicial Council

President Biya has announced the holding of the Higher Judicial Council meeting on the 18^th of December 2014. Etoudi made public the decision following what it described as the successful holding of the 2014 ministerial council. Sources close to the presidency have hinted that the higher judicial council forum shall focus on the integration of 600 pupil magistrates and auditors who recently graduated from the National School Administration and Magistracy.

Cameroon Concord understands the judicial council will also examine the nominations and appointments of new judges and magistrates including state counsels in the country. The body will inter alia review promotions and above all carryout some disciplinary actions within the judiciary. It is vital to mention in this report that the last higher judicial council meeting was held on the 18^th of April 2012.
