SDF Boss Ni John Fru Ndi has paid a courtesy visit to the Bamenda III Council water purification plant
The Chairman of the Social Democratic Front SDF Ni John Fru Ndi has paid a courtesy visit to the Bamenda III Council water purification plant. The courtesy visit Thursday August 4, 2016 though informal according to Mayor Fongu Cletus, gave the SDF leader an opportunity to appreciate the water project which has remain an indelible achievement for his party run council.
The water scheme which is yet to be launched is currently being distributed across the municipality with public tabs being planted and private homes connected.
Mayor Fongu shared the post on Facebook saying "The National chairman of the SDF his excellency Ni John Fru Ndi visits the Bamenda 3 council water recycling plant .We're bless for his presence."
Wanka Ita who heads the water department has maintained that the water purification plant is producing remarkable results. She explains that Aluminum sulfate which is being used to finalise purification is an uncommon chemical that magnifies and eliminate any form of dirt that can still be in the water after the normal purification process.
The Mayor has successfully led the council water department to different quarter communities for sensitization aimed encouraging subscription and consumption. The community visits have been moments to encourage community participation.
Ntamuche, Ntakikah, Ntaghem and others some of the quarters where the water is already being consumed. The council has also made available a public tab in mile three Nkwen to serve those who cannot connect to their respective homes.
Hilltopvoices.org has gathered that an elaborate event to launch the project is being planned for November during which the donors from Germany and some top Government officials will be present.
