A gang of heavily armed robbers clad in military uniforms recently wrecked havoc on the Lobe Credit Union Complex  in Ekondo Titi in the South West Region of Cameroon, carting away FCFA 36 million.

According to reports, the yobbos stormed the office Credit Union Complex dressed military attire, with sophisticated weapons and ammunitions.

According to the security guard who was on duty that night, “after seeing them in military uniforms, I mistook the thieves for security officers who were on patrol duty that night before they launched a surprised attack on the Credit Union Complex,” he recounted.

As investigations were opened by elements of the forces of law and order to unmask those behind the robbery attack, it was discovered that some Police Inspectors were the master minders behind the robbery attack.

According to reports, the Police Inspectors facilitated the night exploit on the Credit Union.

Correspondents’ reports gnarled by Cameroon Concord hold that the Manager of the said Credit Union had returned from Kumba with the money, but failed to put it in the save.

The Manager is said to have effected a transaction of FCFA 1.5million in Kumba before heading for EkondoTiti with the rest.

The hoodlums are said to have swooped on the money and vamoosed.
