Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Chiefs in Fako Division, South west region of Cameroon are still to come to terms on who to designate as representative for the position of South West Chiefs conference presidency.

A meeting to reconcile warring factions ended in a deadlock as chiefs Etina MONONO and Chief EKUM left the Limbe meeting unceremoniously. For now Chief Njombe Johnson of WOKAKA village in Buea Sub Division is the lone candidate whose designation sparked anger among Fako chiefs, some are of the opinion that Chief Njombe is a third class chief, hence cannot head those above him, others say he has soiled himself in land grabbing scandal and is unfit to lead south west chiefs.

The Secretary General of Fako Chiefs Conference, Chief Njike hinted that Chief Njombe remains the lone candidate for now but went further to say the situation will come to normalcy in weeks ahead. A new president is expected to replace Senator Nfon Mukete from Meme Division who has come to the end of his mandate .
