The New Year's Eve celebration at Hachimi Cavaye's wedding, son of Cavaye Yéguié Djibril, took a dramatic turn on December 24. In the midst of the festivities, a family tragedy nearly unfolded as Marga Yéguié, the elder sibling, under the influence of alcohol, brandished a Browning 9 mm automatic pistol in an attempt to harm his brother Moussa Cavaye.
As recounted by political figure Aboubakar Ousmane Mey on Twitter, what was initially a joyful wedding evening descended into chaos when Marga Yéguié pulled out the firearm, putting the life of his brother Moussa Cavaye, who was present at the ceremony, in jeopardy.{loadmoduleid 377}
The situation was brought under control through the swift and courageous intervention of a guest, who disarmed the inebriated individual. This intervention allowed Hachimi Cavaye and his spouse to leave the premises safely.
While the details of this family incident remain unclear, the attempted violence between brothers during a festive family event has sent shockwaves among witnesses. The motivations behind this act remain unknown.{loadmoduleid 378}
