This time we had to visit an electrical engineer on spot for what may have possibly caused the recent city council fire.

There are very many fake distributors in the Cameroon market. Some of these distributors can not carry the power of some equipment. There are even bulb sold in Cameroon that get to the level of causing fire.

We were shown through a thermographic camera how bulbs and wire get hot up to 80 to 100 degrees centigrade. And due to thermal factic they automatically turn to fire and are quickly conducted by the rubber conductor covering the wire. Every cable have a fire rating that we never check before buying. It is very dangerous. Most of those products are brought in from China.
