The strong man of La Republique du Cameroun has issued decrees appointing 11 new generals into the country's defence forces. The information was presented on Thursday on state-run broadcaster, CRTV.
They include six generals in the National Gendarmerie, four generals in the Infantry, and one general in the Air Force.
Other officers  in the military have also been promoted by the decrees.
Biya has embarked on real business lately. Another wave of decrees appointed rectors, vice-chancellor and chairman of some four state universities on Tuesday.
Plans are underway for the recruitment of 5000 soldiers and 2500 gendarme officers, according to   the Minister Delegate at the presidency in charge of Defence.
Biya  and his men  are on hot bricks at the moment. There is the terror group,Boko Haram , in the Far North and the unrest in West Cameroon.
This has obliged Biya to rise from slumber and keep a watchful eye on his boys.
The regime has warned soldiers against 'indiscipline', following the recent strike action by a group of about 32 soldiers fighting Boko Haram up north.
