Cameroon: 2016 G.C.E and Baccalaureat Exams Begin Nationwide
Statistics from the G.C.E and Baccalaureat Boards respectively, indicate that about 172,000 candidates are taking part in the G.C.E. while close to 91,000 are sitting for the Baccalaureat Exam.
This 31st May 2016, the Minister of Secondary Education, Jean Ernest Bibehe visited examination centres in the Centre Region to evaluate the first days of writing.
The Minister was impressed with the punctuality of candidates and the overall discipline enforced by invigilators and the law of forces and order.
The GCE Ordinary and Advanced Levels opened on Monday 30th May 2016 with Economics and Geology meanwhile the Baccalaureat started this 31st May 2016 with Philosophy, Literature, General Knowledge, French Language and Physical Education.
