Cameroon: Biya and Macron’s conversation on phone
The French president Emmanuel Macron, has had a phone conversation with the Cameroonian president Paul Biya, on Saturday 30 June 2018.
Globally, the two heads of state talked about security, the future of the francophonie and about the African Union summit which is at hand.

In the perspective of his move to Africa for the 31st edition of the African Union summit, the president of France had an exchange on phone with Paul Biya, the Cameroonian president.
They both condemned the attack carried out a day before the call, on a military officer of the Sahel G5 joined force.
In view of president Macron’s planned visit to Nigeria, the French and Cameroonian presidents evoked in particular, the situation around the lake Chad basin and the necessity to ensure Regional cooperation in the fight against the terrorist acts of Boko Haram.
Emmanuel Macron equally promised to support the African Union in seeking solutions to African crisis.
