Mayen Men Joel and Difang Asong Dynalie are the two suspects arrested for stealing a loaded automatic gun, two gas cylinders, a torch lamp, a bottle of Champagne, a bottle of whisky and a computer set from Eugene Chi Ngwanshi a police officer at Ekondo Titi in the South West Region. Sources at the Ekondo Titi Gendarmerie station revealed that the suspects who were neighbors break into the victim’s house after he went out to get fuel for his generator.

The two men were arrested following a systematic search led by the Divisional Officer for Ekondo-Titi, Edwin Nkenya Ngwana in cooperation with some security men. The gas cylinders, the bottle of whisky and Champagne including the torch lamp were also retrieved from Ndom Joseph who had already bought the items.

The gun was found the following day besides the Ekondo Titi Baptist Church. It was reportedly dropped by Difang Asong who had attempted to escape. The thieves are presently at the Kumba Central Prison awaiting trial.
