Cameroon intimidates media houses, orders cable distributors to remove Afrique Media from their Distribution Networks
The axe of the national communication council falls on some media houses and journalists in Cameroon. The NCC through a press release signed by the president Peter Esoka yesterday sanctioned some Media houses and journalist for non-respect of deontology ethics of the profession. In the release, the NCC also demanded that cable distributors remove Afrique Media from their distribution network.
According to the NCC the suspended media were involved with instances in which they propagated false information against some individuals in Cameroon without proof.
Apart from Afrique media, others suspended for unfounded claims against some individuals in the country are:
