Cameroon: Monday suicide attacks claimed the lives of 32
Cameroon say a series of suicide attacks that occurred on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Bodo main market in Far North region has claimed the lives of 32 people injuring 86. Some elements of non state policing groups explained that four suicide bombers activated their explosive belts at the Bodo market killing many local businessmen and women. The injured were rushed to hospital and medical staff are working to take care of them.
The series of attacks reportedly perpetrated by the terrorist group Boko Haram is the deadliest since the start of 2016. The activities of the vigilante groups alongside the Cameroonian defense forces have helped to counteract and reduce many carnage envisaged by Boko Haram. The Cameroon government has presented its condolences to the affected families and urged the population to remain vigilant.
