Cameroon: Paul Biya and wife disappear after departure for UN meeting
The Presidential couple, who left the country on Thursday 14 September for New York, where the 72th session of the United Nation's General Assembly is taking place, is no where to be found. They are suspected to have diverted to another country which is being kept secret.
Reliable sources reveal that, the president did not take a direct flight to New York but rather, they were due for a different undisclosed destination which could possibly be Switzerland.
This meeting of Head of States began on Tuesday 12 September, even though every invited leader is expected to be in New York by Monday 19 September 2017. They will be there to debate on global issues under the theme "priority to humans, peace and decent life for all on a preserved planet".
Consequently, as invited by the Secretary General of the UN, Paul Biya is expected in New York latest on Tuesday 19 September.
