Cameroonian Business Tycoon Amougou Belinga Summoned for Fresh Interrogation
In a noteworthy development for the year 2024, Amougou Belinga, the entrepreneur behind Vision 4, is reportedly summoned for a new hearing. The information suggests that he is implicated in the case of the journalist Martinez Zogo's murder. The summons is scheduled for Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Military Tribunal of Yaoundé. The convocation is issued by the military investigating judge, Colonel Ndzie Pierrot Narcisse.
Colonel Ndzie Pierrot Narcisse is set to conduct the interrogation, marking the first time since his recent appointment as the lead judge in this case. In late 2023, he was appointed by President Paul Biya to replace the military judge SIKATI II, who allegedly violated internal procedures of the Yaoundé Military Tribunal. This development follows closely on the heels of the replacement.{loadmoduleid 377}
The reasons behind this audience at the Presidential Civil Cabinet remain undisclosed at this moment. The Martinez Zogo case remains in the spotlight, and sources close to the matter reveal that French journalists from Radio France Internationale (RFI) were received on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at the Civil Cabinet in connection to this affair. Among them were Amélie Tulet and Polycarpe Essomba, correspondents from RFI, who met with Samuel Mvondo Ayolo, the Director of the Civil Cabinet and influential member of Fc Ligne 94, at the Palace of Unity. The agenda of the meeting was explicitly marked as "Martinez Zogo Case." This covert meeting lasted approximately two hours, as reported by whistleblower Paul Chouta.{loadmoduleid 378}
