Heavy Jail Terms Still Dangle Over Anglophone Church Leaders, Despite Biya’s Presidential Pardon
The Lead Counsel of the Consortium of Parents that is prosecuting Anglophone Church leaders says the clerics will still be docked despite the August 30 Presidential decree discontinuing the trial of some Anglophones who were arrested in the wake of the Anglophone Crisis.
Barrister Julius Tabe Ngu Achu spoke to reporters in Douala on September 2, 48 hours after President Paul Biya granted clemency to the Anglophone detainees.
