Indomitable Lions Ready for Clash Against Super Eagles in AFCON 2023 Round of 16
As the excitement builds for the Round of 16 clash in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon concluded their preparations with a closed-door tactical session at the Municipal Stadium in Bingerville. The much-anticipated match against the Super Eagles of Nigeria is set to take place on January 27, 2024, at 8:00 PM local time at the Félix Houphouet Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
The training session, although closed for tactical reasons, allowed the presence of the press and sports authorities for the initial 15 minutes. Among those present were the Ambassador of Cameroon in Côte d'Ivoire and the President of FECAFOOT, showing solidarity and encouragement for Vincent Aboubakar and his teammates ahead of this crucial encounter.
Before the closed training, the Cameroon national team took a quick tour of the Félix Houphouet Boigny Stadium, familiarizing themselves with the environment where they will face Nigeria for the 8th time in their history at a CAN final phase.
Manager-selector Rigobert Song and player Faris Pemi Moumbagna addressed the media at noon at the Palace of Culture. Song emphasized the determination of his players to overcome the Nigerian obstacle, reflecting the team's focus and commitment to advancing in the tournament.
Drawing inspiration from their recent victory against Gambia, the Indomitable Lions will once again don their white kits adorned with trimmings in the national colors as they face Nigeria in this highly anticipated Round of 16 clash.
With hashtags like #WECANMAKEIT and #GOLIONS echoing through social media, the Indomitable Lions, led by Vincent Aboubakar, are set to roar together as they strive for success in the AFCON 2023. Football enthusiasts can expect an intense and thrilling encounter between these two African football powerhouses. #NGRGAM #CANTOTALENERGIES2023 #CMRMAU #ALLEZLESLIONS #LETSROARTOGETHER #INDOMPTABLES
