P Diddy Arrested in New York Amid Serious Allegations
Hip Hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested in New York City on Monday following a grand jury decision related to unspecified charges. The U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York confirmed that federal agents carried out the arrest.
While the exact nature of the charges remains undisclosed, Combs’ attorney, Marc Agnifilo, called the prosecution "unjust" in a statement to *The Hollywood Reporter*.
"We are disappointed with the decision to pursue what we believe is an unjust prosecution of Mr. Combs," Agnifilo said, adding that his client is a "music icon, self-made entrepreneur, loving family man, and proven philanthropist" who has devoted his life to building his empire and uplifting the Black community.
Agnifilo urged the public to withhold judgment until all facts are presented, noting that Combs had been cooperative with the investigation and voluntarily relocated to New York in anticipation of the charges. The attorney emphasized that Combs "is an imperfect person but not a criminal" and expressed confidence that his client would clear his name in court.
This arrest follows an investigation that began in March when Homeland Security agents raided Combs' properties, including his mansion in the Holmby Hills neighborhood, as part of a sex trafficking investigation. Combs has consistently denied any involvement, calling the raids a "gross overuse of military-level force."
Further accusations have surfaced in recent months. Media outlets, such as the *Tampa Bay Times*, have reported on alleged "Freak-Off" parties hosted by Combs at high-end hotels in cities like Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. These events were described as brutal, with attendees reportedly being drugged, beaten, and sexually abused. Combs is also accused of filming these events, allegedly directing his staff to make adjustments for his benefit.
In addition to these allegations, Diddy recently faced public scrutiny for a surveillance video from 2016, showing him violently assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, in a hotel hallway. Furthermore, a sexual assault lawsuit was filed last week by former bandmate Dawn Richard, accusing Combs of battery, false imprisonment, and withholding millions in unpaid royalties. Model Crystal McKinney also sued Combs in May, alleging that he drugged and sexually assaulted her two decades ago.
As the case unfolds, more information is expected to emerge regarding the specific charges against Combs.
