Overload could be the cause of capsized BIR vessel

The accident which occurred with 40 people on board, is reported to have been caused by five trucks that were in the boat.

These vehicles, which were carrying military material, were attached to the boat with chains. At one point, the chains cut loose, turning the vessel over.

Sea waves are said to have been rough when the incident happened. The busy nature caused the chains to get cut.

There are three survivors who are the men that stood outside the boat on surveillance. When the sinking began, they had the chance to jump out meanwhile those who were inside did not notice what was happening immediately to be able to save themselves.

During such journeys, either the military men sleep or are on telephone conversing with their family members. That is one of the reasons why they could not easily be aware of what was going on to quickly react.
