Should Anglophones Boycott the March 25 Senatorial elections?
Biya has schedule Senatorial Election for March 25 and convoked the electoral college comprising Mayors and municipal Councillors. The cavalier manner in which the electoral college was convoked reinforces Cameroon's international image as a country with highly dysfunctional institutions where bizarre things happen. Cameroon is really a Banana Republic. Barring any upset, the CPDM is expected to win since they control a majority of the Councils all over the country. Although Biya still has to appoint three (3) Sin-ators from each region, what if people like Nfon Mukete, Chief Tabetando, Achidi Achu et al come out to say there should be no elections in the SW and NW until Biya ends his anti-Anglophone jihad?
