The 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup trophy arrived Cameroon on Thursday.
The trophy will be displayed before the public on Friday at the Yaoundé military stadium.
According to tradition, the trophy will make a tour of all the eight nations set for the games.
The tournament kicks off this month in Russia.
Cameroon, current African champions, will take part in the event alongside seven other nations.
The Confederations Cup is organized every four years. It features eight nations: the host country, the winner of the latest edition of the World Cup, the holders of each of the six (UEFA, CONMEBOL, CONCACAF, CAF, AFC, OFC) regional championships.
The host nation is usually the nation set to host the next edition of the World Cup. That explains why the host are Russia, as they prepare to host the 2081 FIFA World Cup.
Cameroon, Russia, Germany, Portugal, Chile, Mexico and New Zealand are the countries vying for the trophy, as the games start on 17 June 2017.
