Lydian Eyoum Yen,the French national of Cameroonian origin, left the Central Prison of Nkondengui (Yaoundé) last night July 4th,2016  where she was serving a  25 sentence in prison for embezzlement of public funds estimated at over one billion FCFA.

She immediately took refuge at the French Embassy  in Yaounde after her release from prison,according to sources.

Her sudden release from prison came as a surprise to all who were following up  her detention.

"Lydian  Eyoum was set free shortly after the presidential decree,"pardoning her was made public.

The information was later confirmed by sources at the  French Embassy  in Yaoundé. No official statement has been made by Madame Lydian,however sources within the Embassy indicate that the lawyer  will make a public statement upon her arrival in Paris.

On July 4,2016 Lydian Yen Eyoum  who was serving a 25 years jail term, was pardoned by a Presidential Decree from the Cameroonian head of state,Paul Biya.
