Yaounde: National Assembly oopening ceremony chaired by honourable Cavayé Yéguié Djibril
The opening ceremony of the June 2016 session of the National Assemly which kikstarted on June 2, 2016 was chaired by the President honourable Cavayé Yéguié Djibril, in the midst of the Senate President Marcel Niat Njifenji, and members of Government led by the Prime Minister Philemon Yang.
Speaking during the opening ceremony, House Speaker Cavayé Yéguié Djibril lauded the efforts of Cameroonians for making the 44th National Day celebration a success, and unto the Cameroon Armed forces for their sacrificial efforts against the terrorist sect Boko Haram.
While expressing satisfaction to the Prime Minister and his team for the efforts put in place towards the organization of the 2016 Female African Football Championship he called on Cameroonians to exercise civic responsibilities on the management of the resources put in place.
Talking about the Cameroon Airlines Cooperation Camairco, the House Speaker said solutions must be put in place to bring the company back to its brim.
He also revealed that the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the National Assembly will come up this December 2016.
Meanwhile at the Senate the President Marcel Niat Njifenji just like his counterpart, extended his word of congratulations to the defense forces for their courage and brilliance in fighting the terrorist sect Boko Haram; the efforts put in place to guarantee success of the 44th National Day celebration.
He also called on the on the government to stand up for the country’s major challenges which is economic and social Development.
