Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

In light of recent alarming reports and ongoing investigations, the North West Regional Delegate for Public Health, Dr. Kingsley Che Soh, issues a critical advisory to the population of the North West Region concerning the consumption of the product "JIGSIMUR."

It is imperative that individuals refrain from consuming "JIGSIMUR" until the results of the ongoing investigation, conducted at the central level of the Ministry of Public Health, are made available to the public.

This cautionary measure follows concerning reports indicating that several patients admitted to health facilities within the region have displayed symptoms of multiple organ failure after consuming "JIGSIMUR." Despite claims that the product can treat various ailments, including cancer, it is important to note that "JIGSIMUR" has not been authorized for commercialization in Cameroon. Tragically, one of the affected patients has lost their life, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Dr. Kingsley Che Soh underscores the inherent risks associated with purchasing medications from unauthorized or roadside medicine vendors. Instead, individuals are urged to exercise caution and only procure medications prescribed by licensed physicians. The improper use of medication or the ingestion of unregulated substances poses significant dangers to one's health and well-being.

As investigations into the safety and efficacy of "JIGSIMUR" continue, it is crucial for individuals to heed this advisory and refrain from consuming the product until further notice. The Regional Delegate's office remains dedicated to safeguarding public health and emphasizes the importance of informed and responsible healthcare practices.
