Partnership to Scale Up Advocacy for Health Financing in Cameroon
The Parliamentary Caucus for Health Financing in Cameroon, led by Hon. Njume Peter, took a significant step forward today in advancing the health agenda in the country.
In a meeting with Plan International's Chief of Party for the Global Fund project, Dr. Kwake Simon, and his team, both parties explored opportunities for collaboration and discussed common priorities aimed at improving healthcare outcomes for vulnerable populations in Cameroon.
One of the focal points of the discussion was the progress and challenges in implementing malaria response initiatives at the community level. Both teams recognized the importance of scaling up these efforts to achieve greater results and address the needs of vulnerable populations effectively.
Looking ahead, the Parliamentary Caucus for Health Financing plans to establish a concrete plan of action to support Plan International Cameroon in furthering its initiatives in the country. Likewise, Plan International expressed its commitment to collaborating with the Caucus to advance the health agenda and promote greater access to quality healthcare for all Cameroonians.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes in Cameroon. By working together, the Parliamentary Caucus for Health Financing and Plan International aim to leverage their respective strengths and resources to drive positive change and create a healthier future for all.
