Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

A young musician lost her  life on Friday in the Ngousso neighbourhoods in Yaoundé in a road accident. Merveille Tsand'Mbe of the Macase band was knocked by a taxi.

Eyewitnesses say she was on a motorbike returning from a performance. Upon seeing an  imminent danger, she jumped off the vehicle just to clash with a taxi from behind.

Merveille was one of three girls incorporated into the band five years ago in order to rekindle its fire. They were named"The three virgins" because of  the beauty of their voices.

The death of Merveille leaves the group with just one of the  trio, Sandrine Nnanga. Leonie Langa had previously gone solo.

The Macase band is a group of Cameroonian musicians founded in 1996. Led by Serge Maboma, the group released its first album"Etam" in 1998.
