The mine exploded on the Amchide-Kolofata road in the Mayo-Sava Division of the Far North region. Two Cameroonian soldiers were killed and two others were injured.

Meanwhile Cameroon military officials have released the names of the two soldiers of the 41 Mechanized Infantry Division who were killed in an ambush at the Waza-Line in Logone-Et-Chari Division.
