Fighting is reportedly escalating in the Far North Region of Cameroon as the Cameroon military continues its battle with the Nigerian Islamic sect Boko Haram. Military sources have revealed that the Cameroon army reacted on intelligence killing 116 Boko Haram militants penetrating the Far North region in a convoy of Toyota vehicles deep down in Amchide.

Our source also hinted that two Cameroon military trucks and a land cruiser were burnt down by Boko Haram fighters killing a soldier from the Rapid Intervention unit.
