Fighting Boko Haram: 7 Camerounian soldiers wounded in mine explosion
7 soldiers were wounded yesterday night in the area of Zamga (Mayo-Moskota) in a mine explosion as their vehicle stepped over.Cameroun has been fighting an incisible war against Boko Haram over the last 4 years.
This senseless and meaningless war definitely has no end previewed. Time without number the media has made propaganda about the killing of the leader of Boko Haram, Shekarau. Yet he comes back with more threats and more deaths recorded on the sides of the regime and civilian casualties. The Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari whose ticket to the Presidency was on the platform of completely defeating and defacing Boko Haram in six months, hasn't suceeded in doing so in more than three years. Africans must learn to understand that the Insurgency tagged Boko Haram is an ideology and this idealogy can't be defeated with weapons.{loadposition myposition}
It's incumbent today for the four countries that are involved in the fight against Boko Haram, which are Chad,Nigeria, Cameroon and Niger to carry out a sociological and and Anthropology research aimed at resolving the conflict. So long as the culture of marrying and divorcing wives and children without taking parental responsibility on the kids on the streets, the danger of having this evil much around is extremely high.
If America and Europe has admitted that ISIS can't be defeated through physical combat, then African countries must admit that too and begin investing heavily on sociological projects that can alleviate penury and hardship than on buying of weapons. The Northern arid lands of Cameroon, Nigeria,Chad and Niger can be converted into agrarian lands through the drilling of bore holes and catchment of large volumes of water for agricultural projects.
If this is done, the idling youths won't be attracted by the Boko Haram insurgency recruitment agents. This will forcefully weed out Boko Haram insurgency and shall spare lives as well.{loadposition myposition2}
