Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

A local private radio station, Radio Balafon based in the Litoral Region, reported an incident which occurred on Monday 28 August. It is about traces of blood which were found on the late Bafia Bishop’s grave.

Blood was equally perceived on the altar, and on the path leading to the Bishop’s seat of the cathedral. Before celebrating Mass Yesterday morning, the Vicar of the diocese had to clean up the blood on the altar.

It is suspected that, some rituals had taken place at night, in the cathedral, by unknown individuals. Forces of law and order went there to see what had happened. Some of the blood was taken to Yaounde for tests and further investigation.

Bishop Balla got missing on 31 May 2017, and was only found dead in river Sanaga after three days of intensive search. The cause of his death is still not clear to Cameroonians, given that the government is saying he got drowned while religious authorities insist that someone actually assassinated the Bishop.
