Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Holy Father Pope Francis has used his recent visit to the stronghold of the Italian mafia group known as "Ndrangheta" to condemn those who follow the path of evil.

During Eucharistic celebrations at Calabria widely believed to be the sit of the most powerful Italian mafia family, Pope Francis said "those who follow the path of evil, like the mafiosi do, are not in communion with God;they are excommunicated!" Cameroon Concords' Vatican correspondent reported that the great Pontiff was not only addressing the Italian mafia groups but despotic leaders like those of Francophone Africa.

Said the Holy Father "even if mob families continue to go to Mass and decorate their homes and hideouts with religious pictures, they have cut themselves off from communion with the church and with God. When instead of adoring the Lord, leaders like Biya and Bongo are adoring money. The Holy Father added that anyone who adores money than the Lord, opens the path to sin, personal interests and exploitation. Cameroon which is a beautiful country has known the signs and consequences of the sin the Holy Father referred to during his nine hour visit to the Calabria region.

The "Ndrangheta" is a secret network which is now believed to be the most powerful in the world with its annual income estimated at 44 billion dollars.
