At the same time, Cameroonians have been wondering why the Apostolic Nuncio in Yaounde, Mgr Piero Pioppo who should be an integral part of the investigation into Mgr Balla's death has been transferred to far away Indonesia.
Mgr Balla is reported to have written an explosive letter to the Nuncio following the mysterious death of Fr. Armel Djama, rector of the minor seminary in Bafia; who died on May 10. The letter is said to have attributed the death of Fr. Djama to unseen hands at the Presidency.
The grapevine is quoting eye-witnesses from the village of Tsang recalling the sound of an helicopter in the wee hours of Thursday, breaking Friday morning, "dropping a package" in the area of the Sanaga river where Mgr Balla's corpse was spotted and eventually recovered.
With all these conspiracy theories, Cameroonians need to read Mgr Balla's letter, especially as the case is now being investigated as homicide.
The night watchman has given contradictory information to the police about what Mgr Balla told him when he opened the gate. But it is obvious Mgr Balla could not have left his residence at 11:00 pm, unless to honor a request made by some very important personality.
Was he responding to a call from the Nuncio or the Presidency?

The man of God who was surrounded by many other clergy could not control his emotions when he addressed the huge number of Christians who had broken police barricades to enter the Buea court yard to show their unwavering support to the persecuted servant of God. The Christians who tarried at the court premises all through did not just stay behind watching but engaged in divers prayer sessions in the open air.
Amongst them, some where praying and crying others where kneeling and many where laying flat on the ground seeking the God's intervention in the case. While leaving the court room, the PCC moderator saw this and had no option rather than weeping. Must Christians have likened this act of to that of Jesus at the grave of Lazarus in John 11/35, where Jesus wept due to the plight of the people. The plaintiff never showed up in court and the main judge opted for another unended series of adjournment for the 24th of July 2017.
The faithfuls gave their Shepherd Rev Fonki, a hilarious escort with songs of victory as they left the court yard. The case was brought against the moderator of the pcc by a so called consortium of parents.
They filed a complaint against him for collecting school fees from them and later on shutting his doors at the apex of the anglophone crisis.
The bishops and leaders of the Baptist churches in the country have all been dragged to court by this same purported consortium of parents.
The court sessions are taking place simultaneously with Bamenda. The situation in Bamenda almost turned violent as Christians and security forces clashed in the court yard.

A priest from the Yaounde Archdiocese has outlined four main points why the disappearance of the Bishop of Bafia remains a mystery, based on his knowledge of the man of God during their ten –month interaction in 2000.
Bishop Jean Marie Benoit Balla reportedly got missing two days ago, and was feared to have jumped into the Sanaga River when his car was spotted at the bridge with a note which read “I am under the water.”
It was against the backdrop of this suspected suicide that Constant Amombo made his outing. “I know and have worked with this man in 2000,” he began, specifying that the bishop was the rector and he was the housemaster Mvolye.
The ten months had left him with the image of “ a solid, strong, balanced, restrained and clear-headed man” who could not have acted likewise.
With the image and reflection of God that he claims to have seen in the man of God, the priest drew a skeptical conclusion sustained by four points:
- “He is believed to have left the see at 11 p.m…But then his Lordship was bitterly against nocturnal outings;
- “Does he need to cover 60km to commit suicide meanwhile apparently he had the right to own arms? He would have just entered his room and have a bullet on his head’
- “His Lordship could swim, I guess. Would any good swimmer choose that path to take away their life?
- “This kind of death is so dramatic. Furthermore, the message is light, childish and sounds like a Nollywood film,’I am under the water’”
The priest, using these four points coupled with faith of the bishop, concludes he remains in complete doubt. He wants the truth to be known.
However, he notes that the bishop is a human being and could have changed over time just like any other human. “Well, it is true that men change and man is a mystery,” he observes.
In the meantime, the search continues and an investigation is underway .

The leadership hullabaloo that has plunged Eglise Evangélique du Cameroun (EEC) into a legal battle transcends religious matters.
The legal scuffle has reignited the Bamileke-Douala rivalry, which has been very fierce, and at times very deadly especially in the political sphere.
However, these two ethnic groups, which have been condemned to live together either by providence, have been flexing their muscles this time in the religious domain, precisely over the Presidency of the EEC.
While the Doualas wanted one of theirs, Rev Pastor Richard Priso Moungole to replace Rev Pastor Isaac Batomen Henga,(a Bamileke) as President of the church, Rev Henga on his own part favoured Rev Pastor Jean Samuel Hendje Toya another Bamileke as his successor.
This was to maintain the Bamileke hegemony in the Church. Bamilekes are the people who have been at the helm for the church for the past 15 years and the Doualas need a change at the top.
However, after last month’s elective general assembly of the church, which witnessed the triumph of Rev Toya over Moungole, the Douala clique of the church headed by Rev Kouoh dragged both Revs Henga and Toya to the Bonanjo Magistrate Court, accusing them of electoral fraud and embezzlement.
According to the aggrieved party, the number of votes cast at the election was more than the registered voters.
Meanwhile, during the court hearing on May 23, the legal counsel of the defendants said the court has no competence to handle the matter because the matter was an internal affair of the church. The Judge was forced to postpone the matter to June 5.
Meantime, after the election in Ngoundere, Moungole’s supporters returned to Douala crying of having been short-changed of heading the EEC.
In the wake of the religious bickering, the Secretary General of Ngondo issued a communiqué condemning the election.
In his communiqué, the Ngondo Scribe threatened that all Doualas will boycott the EEC, if the presidency of the church is not handed over to a Douala.
In spite of protest by the Doualas, the newly elected EEC national bureau was recently commissioned, but the church has split into two warring camps with the Bamilekes on one hand, and the Doualas on the other hand, while the await the court decision on June 6.

REV FATHER DAVID FOMANKA'S MESSAGE TO SOUTHERN CAMEROONS
The Choice to be independent does not depend on the Biya Government. It belongs to the people who have been despised, rejected, and neglected. Hence, just as a civil court allows for Divorce and the Church grants a temporary separation of couples in difficulties until the terms of a contract or covenant is reviewed and respected, the choice is in the hands of the Southern Cameroonians.
They do not need an approval from the Biya Regime. They need to take on their destiny and march on, and use the international body that recognizes statehood so that self-determination and autonomy, fundamental Human Rights is instated. The people need to go get more organized, envisage a trusted leader, form their own government and request from the international body to be recognized.
Any attempt of La Republic to violate this sovereignty will be an act of war against a Nation. For if a Union is no more a Covenant and a people are seen as junior partners and not equal human beings then there is no point. I watch in areas where there are inter-tribal conflicts, how military men from La Republic come in and torture and rape poor villages, burden them with kids and leave them to charitable organizations to determine their future and growth.
This is not a dignified union and no one can sit still and just think it is enough to be obedient to a system that does not guarantee the rights, dignity, freedom, liberty and ability for a people to live a life of self-determination. It is time to make a strong move and unseal a bond that is not workable!!! What justification is there for the Biya regime to storm people's privacy and houses and arrest families that are living peacefully and not going out there to cause any demonstration? And we would say "This is Cameroon!!!" No, this is an act of terrorism against a people that are hated and seen as second class citizens in a country they would have thought were their own.
The power of democracy cannot be undermined and there is need for those who think authority was given them through merits, to realize that all authority comes from above. Christ made it clear to Pilate: " You would not have had any authority over me, if that authority were not given to you from above!" If you shot the mouths of the people from crying, stones will cry out.
We cannot stop the blood of innocent victims from crying for vengeance from above... And only a matter of time the Lord himself will descend on the unfaithful tenants of the vineyard, Divide the Kingdom and set them apart... Remember the Writing on the wall "Mene Mene Teke and parsing--- You have been weighed on the balance and found wanting.... God had decided to divide your Kingdom...."
A Word to the wise is enough!!!!!

A pastor in Zimbabwe is making headlines after claiming to have had a conversation with God on phone. According to the BBC, the pastor was reportedly captured on camera on phone, saying “Hello, is this heaven?” before his followers.
Pastor Paul Sanyangore from Victory World International Ministries made claim in a video released in March but the claim has gained media prominence only of late.
In a media outing at the start of the month, the “man of God” had promised to reveal God’s phone number, the BBC reports, citing a Zimbabwean news site H-Metro.
Pastor Paul Sanyangore is in the growing list of pastors who play bizarre and harmful stunts on people, says the BBC, quoting Times Live.
Previously, a South African pastor had used insect repelling on his followers’ faces. Another person had made his congregation eat grass.
Sowetan Live, according to the BBC, describes the claim as “bizarre”.
So God is embracing digital technology like everyone else.
