Why Do Healthy Athletes Die of Heart Attacks?

In Patick Ekeng's case, media reports are saying the ambulance at the scene did not have an automated defibrillator(cost price=400€ only) which could have rescued his life.Investigations have been launched.

A person in sudden cardiac arrest will collapse suddenly and lose consciousness, with no pulse or breathing.Without immediate CPR or a shock from an automated defibrillator, the person usually dies within minutes. We did not see any CPR being performed when the medics rushed to Patrick,is that what repeated itself today in Ebolowa?
