Sacking of Volker Finke: A cpdm affair

A journalist reporting for the Cameroon radio and television has revealed that President Biya was behind the dismissal Head Coach, Volker Finke.  Bihina Aime Robert made the revelation during a Sunday night show on state television. Biya reportedly raised the issue during the recent ministerial council meeting that took place on Thursday, October 15, 2015, following the defeat of the Indomitable Lions by the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

The Biya remarks culminated to the holding of two important meetings that involved the Minister for Youth and Sports, the President of the Cameroon Football Federation and the German coach, Volker Finke. The sacking of the German seems to have created a backlash as our main German sponsor Puma- is now threatening to withdraw from the Lions of Cameroon.

However, our chief football correspondent hinted at the time of filing this report that some pro Biya comedians at the Cameroon Radio and Television are always trying to attach the Cameroonian dictator to any popular decision taken by administrative authorities in the country.
