The new management of the Indomitable Lions have confirmed their readiness for the up-coming second round of eliminatory matches against Niger, ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. They expressed their readiness during a meeting presided over by the Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Bidoung Kpwatt on the 4th of November 2015 in Yaounde. The away and return legs against Niger are scheduled for 13th and 17th of November 2015, respectively.

The meeting brought together officials of the Ministry of Sports and Physical Education, the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) and the technical staff of the Indomitable Lions. Minister Bidoung Kpwatt called on the interim national coach, Alexandre Belinga and his assistant Bonaventure Djonkep to put all in place in team to make Cameroonians proud with the outcome of the matches. The Minister also exhorted FECAFOOT to recruit a permanent coach for the Indomitable Lions.
