"Sunday Oliseh seeking revenge"
Cameroon will face Nigeria in a friendly encounter on the 11th of October in Brussels, Belgium. The information was made public by the Nigeria Football Federation via its Twitter account. The Super Eagles now coached by Sunday Oliseh has indeed sought the organization of this meeting in the FIFA period provided between the 5th and the 13th of October 2015. The Cameroonian football association aka FECAFOOT is yet to confirmed nor denied the information.
Our nation’s government daily, Cameroon Tribune reported that negotiations have indeed been taken in this direction and both parties are waiting for FIFA to grant its consent. Cameroon Concord’s soccer mad editor-in-chief Soter Tarh Agbaw-Ebai noted that Sunday Oliseh who developed a special relationship with Raymond Kalla while playing for Bochum FC in Germany is seeking revenge over the 2000 Africa Cup of Nations final in Lagos.
Said Agbaw-Ebai, “Nobody has indeed forgotten the electric final of the CAN 2000 at the National Stadium in Lagos, won on penalties by Cameroon mindful of the fact that the new coach of the Super Eagles was officiating as a player and captain”. The two teams last met during the CAN 2004.
