The Lions of Cameroon: Alexandre Belinga is new manager
The coach for the Indomitable Lions was sacked by Roko Sidiki Tombi, the new President of the Cameroon Football Federation (Fecafoot). He was replaced by Alexandre Belinga as interim manager. Alexandre Belinga is a former player of Tonnere, Kalara club who participated in the Junior World Cup in Australia in 1981.
The new coach will be assisted by Bonaventure Djonkep, another former Cameroonian international. After the defeat in a friendly against Nigeria, Volker Finke received a request for explanations from the new boss of FECAFOOT. Volker Finke, was regularly criticized for its results. The different components of Cameroonian sports community: journalists, sports media, experts and former stars of the Cameroon football, demanded the departure of German, for poor performance. FECAFOOT, gave no explanation for the dismissal of the German coach.
