Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

The Cameroonian government has released 824 million CFA francs to the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) to support the Indomitable Lionesses' participation in the U20 Women's World Cup.

The order to unlock these funds was signed on September 4 by Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh, Secretary-General of the Presidency.

This budget will cover the team's participation in the tournament, which is taking place in Colombia. The U20 Lionesses began their campaign on August 31 with a 2-2 draw against Mexico. Recognizing the importance of this first-ever participation, the state has provided this financial package to ensure smooth logistics and support for the team.

The allocation is structured as follows:

  • 440 million CFA francs as a firm installment
  • 333 million CFA francs as an additional fund, contingent on the team's progress beyond the round of 16.

This support underscores Cameroon’s commitment to empowering its national women’s teams on the global stage.
