This crisis had witnessed the killing of a student Gendarme on Sunday at Nguti and at Talangai. Fighting erupted between government forces and the Restoration forces. The Gendarmerie Post came under heavy attack, situated along the Kumba - Mamfe Road. This attack was carried out by three heavily armed separatist fighters who have a deep hatred for the Gendarmerie elements, whom they say aren't supposed to be in Southern Cameroon's because it isn't a French territory.
These separatist fighters opened fire on the 18th of February and killed the young student Gendarmerie officer, Degoume Jean Claude. On the same day on Mamfe - Bamenda express, there was as well another confrontation ground between the forces of LA Republique Du Cameroun and the separatist fighters.
This confrontation was necessitated in order to dislodge the separatist fighters, who have mounted a control post. These separatist fighters were now doing control of vehicles and it resulted to hold up and traffic flow became to challenging. After the intervention of the military, traffic flow became more fluid and no casualties were recorded .
The confrontation in Talangai has orchestrated another vast movements of people moving out as refugees. These people are fleeing from the silly and huge inappropriate retaliatory attacks og the scouts of LA Republique Du Cameroun. Driven by malice , deep hatred for Anglophones and the vicious instructions of the President and the Minister Delegate in charge of Defence, Joseph Beti Assomo. The separatist fighters are fighting for a cause vastly supported by the population and this is frustrating the state scouts.

The curfew that was Imposed on the North West Region as a result of the whisking off of the Sub Divisional Officer of Batibo, got extended. The trillion dollar question that is begging for an answer is " Can a people be subjugated and subdued through violence and at the same time accept to be governed by those they see as their tormentors"?
The curfew is as irrelevant as the person who has made it. Take away the militia that is used by the same Governor to maim, torture, arrest and even make some disappear, then that curfew is raped and abused. Curfews are imposed in Countries where there is a law and order and not in lawless and reckless nations.
The Governor can't show any authorization warranting the curfew and can't show how effective it has been. Was the Sub Divisional Officer for Batibo whisked off at Night? It was a broad day light operation and it was smooth and hitch free. LA Republique Du Cameroun must stop dreaming that it can use its military might and artillery to crush the mind set of a people who have said " Enough is enough" The now famous declaration of the Restoration of the Independence of Southern Cameroon's is irreversible, irrevocable and permanent.
Ayuk Tabe was only the voice of a people so distraught, disappointed and short changed by the Francophone Cameroonian, whom he trusted but can't continue to trust because her trust was raped and abused. The said curfew runs from 8pm to 6am and was prolonged or extended on Sunday the 18th of February, 2018.According to the press release any defaulter will be severely dealt with.

Isa Tchorima, Cameroon's controversial Government Spokesman has made the following pronouncements for Garoua:
The Head of State has announced the creation of the Faculty of Medicine for Garoua, a reference Hospital, a pool for the 2019 African Nations Cup, Hotels, roads, an International Airport, rehabilitation of existing hospitals and declared that a mega meeting shall be organised to say thank you to President Paul Biya.
Definitely Isa Tchorima has become more myopic and blinded by greed to assume that the afore mentioned social amenities are a gift to the people and not their right. It's high time that Cameroonians from all works of life should rise up and denounce political manipulation and deceit.
The state has its obligations as well as the population. The population owes the state taxes and the state owes the population all the social amenities mentioned above. According to Isa Tchorima, the purported leader of National Salvation Front for Cameroon announced that his party shall be participating in the forth coming Senatorial election. Despite the fact that his party his party doesn't have any Grand Councillors.
Isa Tchorima has been in the North of Cameroon since the 12 February of 2018. During his stay in Garoua , he will be visiting both the public and Private Radio stations to reassure the population of the forth coming Elections. " According to Isa Tchorima, nothing can disturb the forth coming elections in Cameroon..
I am confident that nothing shall disrupt the elections this year in Cameroon. I am convinced in capacity as the Government Spokesman, that all the necessary security measures have been put in place to assure that the forth coming elections take place in total peace in all the regions of Cameroon.
The Member of Government reassured the population that the said election are holding according to the Cameroonian Electoral calendar and that nothing shall disturb them from being held" The Zones under rebellious threats by armed militia are under control according to Isa Tchorima by the forces of law and Order" This is a false assertion because the realities on the ground and the noise made on microphone . According to Isa Tchorima, joining the band wagon for development, development shall come to the North, thanks to President Paul Biya.

The State Of Cameroon in contention installed an Interim Sub Divisional officer by name Ernest Kwanzeh. The former Sub Divisional Officer Mr. Namata Marcel Diteng was whisked off from the grand stand in Batibo on the 11 th of February 2018 during the Youth Day celebration. Strangely accompanying the Governor and other Senior Divisional Officers, was the Prime Minister,Philemon Yang.
What was the role of the Prime Minister, Governor in the installation of a Sub Divisional officer? The Prime Minister, Philemon Yang has during this crisis dragged that ministerial portfolio into murky waters. Being manipulated and abusively used, has been demeaning to his person and personality. It's overwhelmingly shocking and ridiculous that the Governor of the purported North West Region, Mr. Adolf Lele Afrique , should be seeking for collaboration with the aggrieved, battered, maimed, illicitly kidnapped, illegally incarcerated people of Batibo.
The scouts of LA Republique Du Cameroun can't get even cold water to drink anywhere in the Southern Cameroon's because they are seen as enemies. Mr. Governor that appeal went to the wrong people and to wrong ears. The people of Southern Cameroon's aren't terrorist and must stop being illegally haunted down as terrorist. Even the Internal community now calls the struggle as a separatist movement and not secessionists because no union treaty exist anywhere.

Ethiopia's prime minister has announced he will resign, in what he says is an effort to advance reforms aimed at easing the country's political unrest.
Speaking on state television Thursday, Hailemariam Desalegn said he has submitted his letter of resignation as both prime minister and chairman of the ruling EPRDF coalition.
The prime minister said he is stepping down "to be part of the solution and for the success of the reforms and the solutions we have put in place.
Hailemariam said the proposed reforms, which he did not specify, come at a time of unrest "where many lives have been lost, people have been displaced and property damaged, and there are efforts to harm investments."
He said both the EPRDF and his party, the Southern Ethiopian People's Democratic Movement, have accepted his resignation, and he hoped parliament would accept it.
Hailemariam, 52, has served as prime minister since September 2012, when he was appointed one month after the death of his predecessor, Meles Zenawi.
Ethiopia has been going through political unrest since a wave of anti-government protests in 2016, mainly in the southern Oromia region, prompted officials to declare a state of emergency.
In recent weeks, the government has released hundreds of prisoners -- many of whom were arrested on charges of terrorism or inciting violence -- in an effort to ease political tensions. Prominent journalist and blogger Eskinder Nega was among a group of more than 700 released Wednesday.
