The European Union cautions the state of Cameroon to avoid situations that could increase the tense atmosphere. This declaration was made on Wednesday in Brussels following the very damaging situation in the North West and South West Regions, provoked by the sociopolitical crisis rocking these regions. The European Union heavily condemns the murder of the three security agents. The European Union complained that the tense sociopolitical climate hasn't helped them to attain their objectives in Cameroon as socioeconomic partners for equitable development. The European Union calls on the state and the Security agents to refrain from using excessive violence on the people of the Anglophone Regions. Equally the European Union calls for a collective, genuine and inclusive dialogue. The situation in the North West and South West Regions is precarious with a very tense sociopolitical climate.

If the nation still has a concinence, this is not what you do when the country is burning and people are being killed in cold blood!
Decision to organize more Expensive SENATORIAL Elecions now as opposed to holding instantly, the more important national DIALOGUE over the Southern Cameroons question should simply tell all of you that the Biya regime lacks the political good will to resolve the ongoing Southern Cameroons crisis peacefully.
It should be clear to everyone by now that some regime barons must be making huge profits out of the ongoing bloody war (that is claiming mostly the lives of our youth both in the military and civilians).
Another better explanation for this bad judgemental decision could simply be that Yaounde is not only completely out of touch with Buea and Bamenda but equally out of sink with the actual situation that prevails in the entire country today.
If meaningful dialogue is not privileged over fake elections, ANYONE helping in the fulfilment of this diabolic plan will be guilty of aiding and abetting darkness over light in Cameroon.
When injustice and torture become law, rebellion and resistance becomes a rule!

The constitutional court, prescribed by Cameroon’s 1996 fundamental law, has finally been established on February 7, 2018 by Paul Biya. According to this fundamental law, the court is composed of 11 members appointed for a 6-year term which is renewable. The members are chosen based on notable and a proven reputation.
They must have “great integrity and established competencies”. The presidential decree, which established the court, appointed Clément Atangana as president and 10 other officials as members with most of them being former members of government. They are Emmanuel Bonde, Joseph Marie Bipoun Woum, Florence Rita Arrey, Emile Essombe, Paul Nchoji Nkwi, Jean-Baptiste Bakousda, Bah Oumarou Sanda, Charles Etienne Lekene Donfack, Jean Fouman Akame and Ahmadou Tidjani.
Seasoned Political Analyst, Ekinneh Agbaw Ebai comments:
Clement Atangana appointed President of the Constitutional Council; two Anglophones were included for window-dressing.
It is either Francophones don't know why Anglophones are angry or they know but they don't just care. In a supposedly bilingual nation of over 250 ethnic groups, how can anyone explain why Biya appoints only his Beti kith and kin to the commanding heights of authority in almost all positions in the public service and the army? The next Francophone president will do the same, so it is just a waste of time thinking we can belong to one nation with these people. From the President of the Republic, Senate President; House Speaker, ECOSOC President, Supreme Court President; and President of the Constitutional Council (all are Francophones). Before CPDM cheerleaders and regime apologists jump up with their predictable reaction that Biya has discretionary powers to appoint whoever he wants, let me remind them to check out the ages of the members of the Constitutional Council. I bet the youngest of them is 70 years old. We cannot continue putting up with such nonsense. We must get back to Buea...the resistance continues

Biya has schedule Senatorial Election for March 25 and convoked the electoral college comprising Mayors and municipal Councillors. The cavalier manner in which the electoral college was convoked reinforces Cameroon's international image as a country with highly dysfunctional institutions where bizarre things happen. Cameroon is really a Banana Republic. Barring any upset, the CPDM is expected to win since they control a majority of the Councils all over the country. Although Biya still has to appoint three (3) Sin-ators from each region, what if people like Nfon Mukete, Chief Tabetando, Achidi Achu et al come out to say there should be no elections in the SW and NW until Biya ends his anti-Anglophone jihad?
