Unveiling Tomorrow's Cameroon Through Today's News

Breaking

Tony Tchani who all along had been solicited by the national teams of Cameroon and the United States of America has finally settled for his country of origin. Tony Tchani is expected anytime from now to join the Lions of Cameroon at the CAF Centre for Excellence situated at Mbankomo in the outskirts of Yaounde, the nation’s capital. The Indomitable Lions of Cameroon have been in training since Monday, March 21, 2016 preparing their double confrontation with the Bafana Bafana of South Africa for the qualifying series for the African Cup of Nations 2017 in Gabon.

Hugo Broos, the new Lions coach, has confirmed the arrival of Tony Tchani from Columbus Crew, during a news conference on Tuesday. Said Bross, "Tchani is the only one that is not there yet. He had a passport problem. He was to arrive yesterday (Monday) with the others because he played Saturday in the club. He'll be here tonight”.

Tony wore the jersey of the United States in a friendly match played January 31, 2016 against Iceland. The encounter was fortunately played outside the FIFA period. An emissary was sent to him by the President of the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) Tombi A Roko Sidiki to persuade Tony to defend the colors of his homeland. He hails from the West region of the Cameroon precisely from Bafang.
