Cotonsport of Garoua tops Elite One championship

The national Elite One football championship entered its 14th Day of action in various stadia across the country. In one of the key matches Cotonsport of Garoua beat Les Astres of Douala 2-1 at the Reunification stadium, to consolidate its position on the classification table.

In Yaounde, Canon Yaounde hammered Union Douala 3-1 in a match that generated much excitement and fanfare. The match that recorded a huge crowd of spectators rekindled memories of their epic duels of the 70s and 80s. In other results of the day, Cosmos of Bafia edged Ape Jes of Mfou 1-0, Fovu played a zero-zero game with visiting Botafogo of Douala, Unisport hammered UMS of Loum two-nil, while Bamboutos and Panthere settled for a zero-zero draw.

The matches Tonnere versus Yong sport and New Star of Douala versus the Njalla Quan sports Academy will be played this, Monday 11th May 2015.
