Former Indomitable Lions Luc Mbassi dies after suffering a stroke attack
The former Lion aged about sixty years, one of the most talented of his generation, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the hospital of the National Social Insurance Fund (CNPS) in Yaounde after a stroke attack.
Mbassi Luc was a legendary former player of Tonnerre Yaoundé. He was of the workforce who won the 1984 African Nations Cup Finals in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, for Cameroon. It was the first continental title for the Indomitable Lions. Luc Mbassi is the third player in that group of 84 to pass away after the defender Charles Toubé and Captain Theophile Abéga.
