The widow of Patrice Lumumba has died at the age of 72. Opango Pauline Lumumba died in her sleep after returning to Kinshasa from a medical trip in Paris, France.
Her husband, Patrice Emery Lumumba murdered on the 17 January 1961 in Katanga was the first Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo in June to September 1960.

An Anglophone lawyer in Yaoundé has called for the independence of the judiciary in Cameroon following the recent appointments made by President Biya after the long awaited meeting of the Higher Judicial Council. Barrister Angoh Angoh Jacob of the Legal Power Law Firm IP said Mr Biya’s appointment shows no respect for Cameroon's Bi-jural system. “By appointing only Francophones to top positions, Biya is saying that Anglophone lawyers and the Common law have no place in Cameroon”. "The appointment of Justice Ayah Paul is simply a replacement of the late Lord Justice Benson Bawak and calls for no Anglophone celebration" noted Barrister Angoh Angoh. The legal mind observed that positive elements of the Common Law practice in Cameroon are gradually fading.

Consternation and shock gripped staff of the Southwest regional branch of Les Brasseries du Cameroun, on hearing of the death of the Regional Director. Michel Mvondo died following a car accident along the Mutengene - Limbe highway on Wednesday December 17, 2014. Cameroon Concord gathered from the Sales and Publicity office, that the regional boss died around the police check point, Mile Four Limbe after his car met head-on with an oncoming TOYOTA Hilux.
The population of Mile Four struggled and removed Michel MVONDO from the vehicle that had overturned. He later died after an hour at the Mile One Regional Hospital in Limbe. This news was received with doubt and dismay because he had just presided at a special Christmas ceremony dubbed ‘Christmas for All’, organized by Les Brasseries du Cameroun.

British Southern Cameroonians have elected Justice Ayah Paul as the new leader of the Southern Cameroons territory. His Excellency President Ayah Paul has announced an urgent trip to the United Nations to brief the Security Council on the goings on in the territory. President Ayah Paul says the total and complete independence of Southern Cameroons from La Republique is top on his agenda.
The man who gave Southern Cameroons its identity has broken the silence he maintained ever since he left the GCE Board. Hon. Azong Wara Andrew recently observed that CATTU was created to destroy the only powerful Southern Cameroons trade union-the Teachers Association of Cameroon (TAC).

The people of Lebialem Division in the South West Region of Southern Cameroons have again accused Hon. Bernard Foju of betrayal. Some elites are reported to have reminded Hon. Foju that “no man however great can win judgment against his people”.
The Southern Cameroons National Council is already in crisis following the build up to the historic general assembly meeting in Kumba, the chief town in Meme Division. Disunity has brought its ugly head inside the body at a very delicate time in the history of Southern Cameroons vis-a-vis La Republique. Reports say Nfor Nfor has raised a finger that he is not aware of the Kumba meeting with some leading members of the North West Region vowing “they will not accept another South Westerner as National Chairman of the SCNC".
Chairman Ni John Fru Ndi has finally accepted that his days are over at the head of the Social Democratic Front. Mr Fru Ndi was quoted as saying he is no longer ready to lead street demonstrations. Fru Ndi’s declaration supports Cameroon Concord’s position that the SDF revolution is now a thing of the past.

Local media in Southern Cameroons has wondered aloud recently that despite massive arrests of corrupt CPDM government officials, La Republique du Cameroun is still in World's corrupt Premier League. This is in reaction to the current findings of Transparency International.
A national assembly staff of La Republique is reported to have used the official seal of House Speaker Cavaye and recruited his family members to work at the national assembly. The scandal broke out on the same day that Southern Cameroons members of parliament from the Social Democratic Front stormed out of La Republique's national assembly over the 2015 budget.
The Divisional Officer who ordered the arrest of a Southern Cameroons "juju"-masquerade is to undergo ritual cleansing. Cameroon Concord gathered that the process will begin on December the 13-the same day that Apostle John Chi will be performing miracles in Yaounde the nation's capital.

South African Archbishop Desmond Tutu has cancelled all travel plans for the rest of the year in order to battle cancer, his foundation said Tuesday. The 83-year-old Nobel peace laureate will embark "on a new course of medication to manage the prostate cancer he's been living with for the past 15 years," a statement said. Tutu had been scheduled to attend a Nobel Peace Laureates Summit in Rome this week. Prostate cancer is common in men aged over 65 and can often be cured.
