After the 20th May incident where the Head of State's Limousine refused to start, President Biya has created another international news headline today Oct. 30th 2016 at the Amadou Ahidjo's Stadium, where he was to preside the closing ceremony of the 2016 Cameroon Sporting season.
The MC of the event announced that all present should stand up to observe a minute of silence in memory of those who lost their lives in the Eseka train accident of Oct. 21st. Everyone including President Biya stood up. Within 30 seconds, Biya tried to sit down, but when he looked left and right he saw Nyiat the Senate President and Cavaye The National Assembly President deep in meditation with closed eyes, he managed for another 10 seconds, but in the40th second, Biya couldn't stand anymore, so he sat down in the eyes of the whole world, while every other person around him was still standing in deep meditation. With his absence at the train crash site on Oct. 24th 2016 that he decreed a national mourning day, Biya should have at least humbled himself this afternoon in the eyes of Cameroonians and the world, by respecting the one minute silence in honour of the deceased, but alas, he disappointed us all again.

The deadline for Cameroon to avoid a supposed ‘black Sunday’ according to a prophecy of popular Nigerian pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman expires this Saturday October 29.
Days after the Eseka train derailment, the man of God in a live broadcast on Sunday October 23 gave yet another terrifying prophecy concerning the nation.
While condoling with Cameroon over the sad incident, Suleman said he could not stay quiet since God has showed him a black Sunday in Cameroon.
In his declarations, the pastor urged his peers back home to gather for four days continuous prayers and fasting to avert the impending doom.
The professor of Human Development cum pastor said such prayers were to be done for four consecutive days, beginning from either Monday or any other day within the week.
While urging his congregation to pray, the servant of God said most of those who criticise prophecies always end up becoming victims of it.
“Few Sundays ago, I told us to pray for Cameroon and you heard what happened. Please I want to tell people in Cameroon; you have to still pray for Cameroon.
They just had something that happened in that country. I am sorry I have to say this because I saw a black Sunday in Cameroon and I am asking God what is the meaning of black Sunday.
I saw a black Sunday, a particular Sunday.
The pastors in Cameroon can gather their people for a four days fast. If it is a Monday, they should not break, it should be continuous. When you give a prophecy and people say prophet of doom, it is your problem. Prophecies are prayer points.
All those who speak against prophets still end up becoming victims of the prophecy”. Suleman declared.
During live Sunday Service of August 14, Suleman threw Cameroonians into confusion when he predicted an incident in the country that will see the death of many. His declarations sparked criticisms from across the globe.
Back then, he said “we have to pray for Cameroon so that the country would not cry. I see something explode. People staying around there plenty…. public place…something explodes! plenty people die.
Cameroon explode! We are going to pray. The same thing I see in the nation of Syria. Syria multiple explosion.
How can something happen here and there on the same day. An explosion. Syria, Cameroon open your mouth and pray for those countries.
Pray let God arise… the nation of Cameroon; all the quarters, all the municipalities and cities let God arise and let those people be exposed”. Suleman declared.
Unlike at the start of the year when he announced that, Cameroon’s armed forces were going to deal severely with Boko Haram, these two last predictions have been a subject of controversy.
In Nigeria, the man of God equally came under public scrutiny when he prophesied, a fuel scarcity that hit the African nation early this year. He also predicted the current fall in the value of the naira.
Two months back, critics swooped on Suleman when he equally predicted the postponement of gubernatorial elections in Edo State of Nigeria where his Church is based. Yet the prediction came to pass.

The Presidential aircraft transporting the Chadian President is expected at the Yaounde, Nsimalen International Airport at 3:00pm. President Idriss Deby will be received at the airport by his Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya.
After airport civilities both leaders will head for the Hilton Hotel in Yaounde where the Chadian leader will take temporal residence during his stay in Cameroon.
His Excellence Idriss Deby Itno and President Paul Biya will have a tete a tete at Cameroon’s State House – The Unity Palace at 5:00pm, the visit ends on Saturday.
The State visit on the invitation of his Cameroonian counterpart Paul Biya comes at a time when Cameroon is recovering from the shock of the ghastly train derailment in Eseka on Friday 21st October 2016 that left some 76 people dead and 599 others injured. It is worth recalling that Chad is one of the first countries that extended condolence to Cameroon following the said incident.
Chad and Cameroon are neighbouring countries that share strong bilateral ties. Both countries worked in synergy to fight the terrorist group Boko Haram. The Chad – Cameroon pipeline project is another concrete example of the brotherly ties that both countries share.
This is relatively high level of movement of people and goods between both countries. Most of Chadian exports and imports pass through the Douala seaport.
The Douala – Ndjamena corridor felt the impact of the ruptured portion of the Yaoundé – Douala highway at Matomb in the Nyong and Kelle Division and goods headed for Chad suffered delays.
It is yet uncertain if Chadians were amongst the victims of the Eseka train crash but it is likely that President Paul Biya and his guest will discuss on the accident.

Cameroon’s President Paul Biya has created a commission to investigate why a train derailed last week, leaving at least 80 people dead and about 600 injured. But John Fru Ndi, leader of the Social Democratic Front, the biggest opposition party, says the commission is unlikely to determine the cause.
In an interview with VOA, Ndi called for an independent panel to investigate the train crash in addition to a parliamentary inquiry to ascertain what happened. He disputed government casualty figures, saying they were underreported.
He accused Biya of leaving out opposition members from commissions he builds to investigate national issues, including tragedies such as the recent train derailment.
“We had written and called for an independent commission to be set up both at the civil service side and also to have the parliamentary group come up with some investigation. [But] Mr. Biya, as usual, went ahead single-handedly to choose his own members of the group of the team investigating the cause of the derailment and the somersault of coaches that killed so many people,” Ndi said.
“When it was announced that the road between Douala and Yaounde had collapsed, so many people went to the train station and they added coaches and just told people to get on board and they would be issuing tickets and collecting money from them as the train moved up,” Ndi said. “So when they say 80 people [were killed], I think Cameroonians feel that more than 80 people died. … And Mr. Biya, typically, never let the opposition or any other person who has an objective opinion into any commission that he sets [up].”
Supporters of the administration in Yaounde say the opposition leader’s accusations are without merit. They contend that Biya has the sole responsibility to govern and ensure the protection and safety of citizens as enshrined in the constitution. They also said members of any commission that he establishes serve at his pleasure as part of his duty to carry out his constitutional mandate.
The supporters also said the ruling party enjoys an overwhelming majority in parliament, which they argue could mean that legislators supporting Biya would still do the work.
They also questioned why Ndi would play politics with a national tragedy.
“My problem is that in all the commissions [the president] sets [up], he has always put people down who have never told him the truth,” Ndi responded. “He believes that because he has the false majority in parliament he can do whatever he wants. ... All these investigations they have set up in Cameroon, he keeps choosing his people, who do not come up with the truth.”
“I think for once if he has Cameroon at heart, he would say please hold on a bit. He would try to [ask] me to give him two or three people for this commission. Or [say], ‘Fru Ndi, I want you to handle this investigation and let Cameroonians know what actually happened.’”
