The Executive Committee of the African Football Confederation headed by Issa Hayatou has decided not to support the only African candidate for the election of a new FIFA president. Meeting at its headquarters in Cairo, Egypt for an intensive discussion on the announced elections for the presidency of FIFA for 26 February 2016, the Executive Committee requested Mr. Musa Bility, president of the Liberian Football Federation to explain the reasons that motivated his decision to run for the FIFA presidency.
According to its final communiqué made public on Thursday, August 6th, 2015 after a fraternal exchange, full of sincerity and cordiality, CAF's Executive Committee decided unanimously not to back Mr. Musa Bility and wished him well as he proceeds with his campaign to replace Sepp Blatter. Following the resignation of Sepp Blatter, Issa Hayatou, an unsuccessful candidate in 2006 was tipped to succeed Blatter but he made it clear that he will not run in the next election of the president of FIFA.
For now, four candidates have already announced themselves and Cameroon Concord understand they include Frenchman Michel Platini, Zico the Brazilian, Prince Ali of Jordan and Musa Bility, President of the Liberian Football Federation. Africa has the largest enrollment in the electoral register of FIFA with its 54 votes, one more than the European Union Football Association (Uefa).

Cameroon football legend Roger Milla has claimed FIFA's recent letter to Cameroon that threatened to suspend the Cameroon FA was a diabolic harsh ploy by some Cameroonians. Said Milla in an interview with Le Jour: "It was not FIFA that sent that letter. It was our people who wrote the letter to be signed by FIFA." The Cameroon minister for football gave a justification for his take by wondering aloud "Why FIFA does not threaten the state of Benin or withdraw the authorization of their federation? Why would FIFA not suspend the US Soccer Federation? To Mr. Roger Albert Milla the Cameroonian media should stop brandishing a document written here and sent to FIFA for signature.
The letter that did arouse the ire of his Excellency Albert Roger Milla was sent a few days after the conciliation and arbitration chamber had canceled the General Assembly meeting organized by the Joseph Owona normalization committee on June the 2nd in Yaoundé. This decision of the conciliation chamber plunged Cameroon football management into crisis. To get out of this situation, Milla suggested that footballers be associated with other stakeholders in the management of Cameroon football.

A football encounter opposing Coton Sport of Garoua and the sick man of Cameroon League 1, Canon of Yaounde has exposed the Joseph Owona nasty hands and its atrocious activities aimed at destroying Cameroon football. The match that took place on Thursday, July 30, 2015 was the National League 1's 27 playing day. Canon had traveled to Garoua battling relegation and Cameroon Concord understands all had been arranged for Canon of Yaounde to pick up the three points by fraud. The referee, Itong Christian and the match commissioner after a poor handling of the first half of the match which saw both sides at 0:0, blatantly refused to continue with the second half of the beautiful game claiming crowd disturbances and insecurity.
A commission put in place by the Cameroon Football Federation (FECAFOOT) interim president Prof. Joseph Owona and chaired by his son Prof. Eric Mathias Owona Nguini ruled on Monday, August 3, 2015 that Coton Sport was guilty of crowd violence and loses the match to Canon of Yaounde. The decision Cameroon Concord gathered was based on Article 97 of the Disciplinary Code of FECAFOOT in accordance with Article 17- 1(a) and Article 20(a) of the Annex of the Disciplinary Code. At a time when clubs can barely survive financially and when Cameroon football is at its greatest low noted a Coton Sport official, "the members of the FECAFOOT normalization committee headed by Joseph Owona are contributing immensely towards the destruction of Cameroon football."

The Friday, July 31, 2015 Samuel Eto'o statement noted that "Following numerous rumors about the imminent launch of an imaginary SET sports television network, which have unfortunately been reported by the media, I am informing the national and international opinion that I have never intended to set up a TV channel. It is more or less fabrications coming from certain individual authors"
