After the "War Council" meeting last Friday, Biya appointed Gen Daniel Elokobi, a son of the soil from Manyu, to lead his anti-Anglophone jihad. Gen Elokobi is expected to restore peace in his troubled Manyu Division where six soldiers were killed amid the escalating Anglophone crisis. It is worth noting that when the security situation in Southern Sudan degenerated, the Khartoum gov't despatched Gen John Garang, who hailed from Southern Sudan to go and quell the rebellion. Khartoum later learnt to its own chagrin that John Garang had become the leader of the Sudan's Peoples Liberation Army. Are there any parallels here? Click the link below to listen to Gen Elokobi speak at the IV Moscow Conference on International Security and you might get a glimpse of his soul.

The Biya administration has claimed that Southern Cameroons is not militarised.
State broadcaster CRTV reported on Monday that local administrators had declared there was no militarisation of their land, adding that life was going on smoothly.
This comes at a time when some observers believe that armed men outnumber civilians in Southern Cameroons.
And it may sound absurd to pundits that with the growing violence in Southern cameroons, it's still not militarized.
A few weeks ago, it was reported that thousands of military and paramilitary personnel had been deployed in Southern cameroons .
Contrary to this claims by state run TV, the areas is witnessing a mass exodus of mothers and their children into neigbouring Nigeria. On Monday December 4th 2017, over
6000 mothers and children fleeing from the terror crossed over from Manyu county into the border village of Amanda in Cross River, Nigeria.

As Anglophones continue to act in legitimate self-defence against gov't soldiers, the SDO of Manyu, Oum II Joseph has ordered residents in 15 villages in Akwaya and Eyumojock to leave their homes immediately or face genocide in retaliation to the recent killing of six soldiers. The SDO did not explain how he expects 15 villages to be evacuated and where the villagers will relocate to; or who will pay for the mandatory evacuations and for how long the people will remain on self-exile.
The SDO also banned all activities on the Manyu river until further notice. The SDO is living in a fool's paradise and he doesn't understand that the land and villages in question belong to Ambazonians who are prepared to fight and die for their freedom.
The land is our land and we have the staying power. Let the soldiers come to their waterloo.
